Description
1988 "SENNA TICKET" VERY GOOD CONDITION. A CRUCIAL WIN IN THE SEASON. SENNA WINS AT SPA IN CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING SEASON. Round 11/16 Belgian GP was Senna's fourth successive victory in the period mid-season that was to put him into the lead in the world championship. He would need just one more win to seal the title which he got in Japan in Round 15. The win in Belgium was Senna's seventh win of the season. Senna recorded his ninth pole position of the season and although in the race Prost got away ahead of him, Senna exited Eau Rouge faster and took Prost never to relinquish the lead for the rest of the race and finishing the race some 30 seconds ahead of Prost. Senna liked racing at Spa-Francorchamps, winning the race first in his JPS Lotus in 1985 and with victories with McLaren in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991. Senna tackling Eau Rouge is another of those iconic images in F1 history. A nice souvenir of Ayrton winning at one of the great tracks in F1 history. 1988 Belgian Grand Prix race programme is currently listed separately. Race Podium: Ayrton Senna 1st, Alain Prost 2nd, Ivan Capelli 3rd. Final 1988 Championship standings 1st Senna 90 points, 2nd Prost 87 points, 3rd Berger 41 points.
